In 25 years of work, we've substituted hundreds of imported items for Uzbekistan enterprises. Here are real cases.
Case 1: Textile factory. Imported German sealing rings cost $12 each, 6-week delivery. We made them from EPDM: $1.2 each, 3-day delivery. 90% savings.
Case 2: Oil refinery. Italian Viton seals, minimum 500 pcs. We made 20 pcs from Viton/FKM in 5 days instead of 8 weeks.
Case 3: Food production. Chinese silicone gaskets didn't fit. We made exact-fit food-grade silicone gaskets from drawings.
Case 4: Construction company. Turkish vibration-isolating bushings kept failing. We selected stronger polyurethane, tripling service life.
Common thread: 40-90% savings, much faster delivery, exact quantities without minimum order overpayment.

A case is useful when it names the medium and the failure: “rod seal at 80 °C oil leaked in a month” is a spec. “We copied import” is not repeatable.
Automotive and food gaskets follow different compounds and papers. Mixing them in one success story does not match how the shop runs.
Repeatability comes from tooling and a retained sample, not from memory.
For a new joint, send the failed part and duty, not “like that video”.
