MBS and TMKSh Rubber Sheets: Differences and Uses

Article

Technical sheets are used for gaskets, flooring and cut seals. MBS and TMKSh appear most often.

MBS — oil/fuel resistant, common for oil-circuit flange gaskets.

TMKSh — better for water, mild acids/alkalis and weather; not an oil grade.

Thickness from ~1–2 mm to 20+ mm; we cut custom contours with bolt holes.

Sheet wins for small batches and large odd shapes; molds win for high-volume small parts.

Order sheet or finished gaskets — we will match the grade to your medium.

MBS is oil-resistant sheet; TMKSh is heat/frost/acid/alkali sheet. Mixing them on the rack scrapes gaskets before cutting.

Thickness follows the flange and pressure. “Thicker seals better” on a warped flange hides metal faults and snaps bolts.

DXF or template cutting repeats holes. Scissors-on-site does not hold a bolt pattern.

Store rolls without kinks or sun. Agreed cutting jobs are typically 3–5 business days.
