Lead time depends on tooling, quantity and whether the drawing and compound are approved.
Existing mold and approved compound: a standard batch is typically 3–5 business days after sign-off. Quantity and shop load can move the date.
New mold: about 10–14 days for tooling, then the batch. Complex multi-cavity tools can take longer.
Sample without drawing: allow time to measure and freeze sizes, then the same schedule as above.
Sheet cutting for simple gaskets can be faster — sometimes same day if stock matches.
A rush slot with existing tooling is possible if the shop is free; it is an exception. Send PDF/CAD, medium, quantity and a target date for a ship date.
Working scale: drawing and compound approval is separate; with an existing mold, typically 3–5 business days; a new mold about 10–14 days. “From 48 hours” is a slot when the shop is free and tooling exists — not a site-wide rule.
Quantity and cure time move the date. Sheet lots and small ring series are planned differently.
Rush windows are discussed after the spec, not instead of it.
Quotes name a ship date, not “we started yesterday”. City freight is extra.
